Important

This tool is an informational aid only and is not legal advice. Reflects Florida Statute §775.215 as amended by SB 212 (effective July 1, 2026): a 1,000-foot residency restriction from schools, child care facilities, parks, playgrounds, and public swimming pools — including pools serving apartments, condominiums, subdivisions, mobile home parks, and townhouses, plus splash pads, wading pools, and water attractions — and a 500-foot proximity/loitering rule. Pools at single-family homes, hotels, motels, RV parks, and adults-only (18+) pools are excluded by statute. School bus stop locations are not published as an open data feed for Alachua County, so they are not shown here — verify bus stop proximity directly with Alachua County Public Schools Transportation. The location database for Gainesville, FL may not include every restricted site — newly built or privately operated locations, and some apartment, condominium, or community pools, may be missing. Always verify your status with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office and FDLE before making housing or employment decisions.
